My name is Jesse Smith, and I am an accounting professional based in Chilliwack With a strong background in both aviation and accounting, I have dedicated many years to my family’s business, Upper Valley Aviation Ltd, before fully committing to my accounting career.
Education and Experience:
- Pursued Chartered Accountant designation while attending UFV.
- Gained valuable experience as an articling student with MNP.
- Achieved my CA designation (now CPA) .
In 2025, I transitioned to full-time accounting and now operate from an office on Airport Road in Chilliwack. I collaborate with Joe Martin, an experienced CPA, to provide quality accounting services to our clients. I look forward to connecting with new clients offering tailored solutions for their accounting needs.

With a career in public practice spanning 31 years, Joe is a seasoned Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). Operating under his own banner, Joseph W. Martin CPA/CA, he has become a trusted fixture in the Fraser Valley business community.

Based in Chilliwack, his firm provides essential financial guidance to local businesses and individuals. For Joe, accounting is more than just a profession; it is the practical foundation—the "engine," so to speak—that has fueled his lifelong pursuit in aviation.

The Aviator: A Forty-One Year Love Affair
While accounting pays the bills, aviation is Joe’s true "first love." His involvement in the industry stretches back 41 years, encompassing both business ownership and community leadership.

Business Ventures: Joe has been at the helm of several aviation-related companies, including Airspread Services Ltd., Para Support Ltd., and Rainbow Country Skydivers Ltd. His experience suggests a deep involvement in specialty aviation services, from aerial application to supporting the skydiving community.

Community Leadership: His dedication to the local flying scene is further evidenced by his role as Treasurer of the Chilliwack Flying Club. In this capacity, he uses his financial expertise to support the club's mission of promoting general aviation in the region.

Personal Life and Philosophy
Joe is a devoted father, often noting that his children are the only thing he holds closer to his heart than the open sky. Now he continues to work and remains active in the Chilliwack community.
